CBG Hosts 18th Annual Clark/CRC CARES Golf Tournament

On December 4, CBG Building Company, CRC Companies, and Clark Construction hosted the 18th annual Clark/CRC CARES Open charity golf tournament at Fairbanks Ranch Country Club. This year’s event raised more than $355,000 to benefit organizations such as Crisis House, Team Parker for Life, and The Pillar Foundation. Since its inception in 2005, The CRC CARES Foundation has raised $5.6 million from this charity golf tournament in support of more than 158 community-serving groups to date.

This year, more than 55 construction sponsors–including subcontractors, industry partners, and consultants–partnered with CBG, CRC, and Clark to put on a successful two-day tournament for 188 golfers and celebrate in person. Participants enjoyed each other’s company during dinner and a formal awards reception following each day of golf.

Crisis House, Team Parker for Life, and The Pillar Foundation were the chief beneficiaries of the tournament this year. Crisis House was founded in 1970 to break the cycle of domestic violence and homelessness by connecting families and individuals to empowering resources and programs. "We extend our heartfelt gratitude for [CRC CARES’] generous donation to Crisis House. [...] Together, we can create meaningful change and bring hope to those facing challenging times," said Kelcie Parra, Crisis House Executive Director.

Team Parker for Life advocates for children battling cancer and their families by supporting cancer research and organizing various events and fundraisers aimed at raising awareness for childhood cancer. Team Parker for Life President, Crystal Shaw, remarked: "Team Parker for Life is extremely grateful to be chosen as a 2023 CRC Cares recipient. Our childhood cancer organization will be able to help financially assist five families who have a child in current cancer treatment. This help will go to pay things like their mortgage, grocery bill, or medical bills so that they can focus on their family."

The Pillar Foundation organization serves the spouses of special operation veterans as they transition to civilian life. The Pillar Foundation Executive Director, Teresa Shick, stated: "The Pillar Foundation is so thankful to be a benefactor of CRC CARES. This donation goes directly to support military spouses as their service member goes through the transition out of the military. Thank you, CRC CARES, for seeing this need and continuing their support for military families."

The CRC CARES foundation remains committed to fostering ongoing positive change in the community and is looking forward to next year’s tournament.
